Protect Your Files Folders without software

Protect Your Files-Folders without software
1. try this first on a NEW blank folder.
2. Rigt-click on the folder/file u want to hide
3. go to properties>security
4. press the advanced button
5. under the permissions uncheck the check box that sayz Inherit from parent the permission entries that aply to child objects. Include these with entries explicitly defined here
6. On the MessageBox click the Remove button
7. Click Apply or OK
8. Confirm every window that ask or warns about anything

- Now if you try to enter the folder copy, move or delete it it will pop an Acess Denied MessageBox. If you want to enable the folder/file just repeat the process, except on the fifth step where you'll have to check that unhecked checkbox.

WARNING : U CAN DO THIS ONLY IF YOU'RE AN ADMINISTRATOR. IT WORKS 100% ON WIN XP, AND I THINK IT SHOULD WORK ON WIN2000.

IF YOU WANT TO HIDE FILE/FOLDER IN WINDOWS 98 (EXAMPLE C:\SEXPIC) GO TO START-PROGRAMS-MSDOS AND :
1. GO TO THE FOLDER WHERE'S THE FILE YOU WANT TO HIDE (FROM THE EXAMPLE IT IS C:\ )
2. TYPE REN SEXPIC _WINFILES, EXCEPT WHERE THE _ IS YOU SHULD HOLD ALT AND ON THE NUMERIC KEYBOARD TYPE 255, LET GO OF ALT AND TYPE WINFILES (WINFILES IS AN EXAMPLE NAME, IT IS LESS SUSPICIOUS).
3. TO REVERSE THE PROCESS GO TO THE SAME FOLDER WHERE YOUR DISABLED FILE/FOLDER IS AND TYPE REN _WINFILES SEXPIC. EXPLANATION FOR TYPING THE _ SIGN IS THE SAME AS BEFORE.
